About Us
In 1989, David and Eddie Martin set up Design Window & Door Systems. Having both worked in the glazing industry, their aim was to provide a first-class fabrication and manufacturing service to the window installation trade. Originally established in Mayland, Essex, and employing only a couple of engineers, it was a drive for delivering a cost-effective, high-quality product that determined the direction of the business.
27 years later, Design Window & Door Systems is still a family business. David and Eddie are still directors and work from the much larger 25,000 sq. ft. facility near Chelmsford, Essex.
With over 50 employees and a strong senior management team, we supply uPVC windows, doors and conservatories to installers all over the South of England and beyond.
Our strong family values are what drives the business today. They haven’t changed since the company started, and they are what make us successful now.
